About Me
ABOUT ME
I'm Ellen Sipos, an aspiring theatre technician from Tucson, Arizona. Currently I am a fifth year student at the University of Arizona, where I'm pursuing a BSBA in Business Management, a certificate in Sports Management, and a BFA in Theatre Design and Technical Production, emphasizing in sound design. I am also a member of the W. A. Franke Honors College. Due to my demanding course load, I am taking five years to finish my degrees and will graduate in May 2025.
My work in the theatre has afforded me many different opportunities, both locally in Tucson and abroad. I currently work for University of Arizona Athletics as a Student Event Tech, where I operate sound and lights for a variety of sporting events such as football, basketball, gymnastics, and volleyball. Past professional experiences include Contemporary American Theatre Festival (Shepherdstown, WV), The Space Theatre (London, England), Arizona Theatre Company (Tucson, AZ), and Borderlands Theatre (Tucson, AZ).
Outside of school and theatre, I enjoy activities such as reading, writing, discovering new music, attending live events, and playing with my cats, Doof and Shmirtz (after Dr. Doofenshmirtz from Phineas & Ferb, of course). I am also a big enjoyer of the US National Women's Soccer League, as well as Barclay's Women's Super League and the Premier League in the UK. Up the Chels!
It is my personal goal to approach every project with enthusiasm and dedication. I like to have fun and am very social, but I am also a very hard-worker with a strong sense of perseverance and determination, developed in part due to over 20 years of living with Type One Diabetes. I love to learn and am constantly looking for new experiences to help me do just that.
